Lemon Topiary Tree Embroidered Linen-Cotton Guest Towel with Ladder Lace by Jacaranda Living
A lemon topiary motif and ladder-lace trim give this white linen-cotton guest towel a light, decorative finish. The longer flat-woven format lets the embroidered detail hang clearly beside a basin.
“I would hang this flat-woven towel with the lace edge visible and keep a spare folded nearby for guests.”

Care & Ownership
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, separating pale linens from dark colors. Protect embroidery and openwork in a mesh bag, avoid bleach and fabric softener, and reshape gently after washing. Line dry or use low heat where the care label allows; do not overdry. Press from the reverse while slightly damp, cushioning raised embroidery on a clean white towel. Store completely dry.
Maker / Heritage
Jacaranda Living began with a basket of samples. After moving from South Africa to Massachusetts, needlework enthusiast Cathy Deale offered to show local Zulu embroiderers’ linens to shops in Boston and Wellesley. The first orders, and then the reorders, gave the work a new audience. Cathy and Martin Deale founded the company in 2004, naming it for South Africa’s lilac-flowering jacaranda tree. The business now works with producers in several countries, using both hand and machine embroidery. Its character remains in the small textile details: a botanical motif, an open hemstitch or a border that makes an ordinary household piece feel considered.
